Leaking with high impact activities?
Are you leaking with running, jumping, lifting, CrossFit or any other high impact activities? πββοΈποΈββοΈπ€Ύπ»ββοΈ
For some women, this happens after they give birth. For others, it might happen progressively over time even though they have never been pregnant or delivered a baby π€·π»ββοΈ.
Leaking with high impact activities is caused by a variety of factors such as:
ππΌ Pelvic floor dysfunction
ππΌ Bladder prolapse
ππΌ Excessive intra-abdominal pressure
ππΌ Fascial restriction around pelvic organs π
Here is what you can do to reduce/eliminate leaking:
π Reduce impact (eg, run with smaller steps, jump lower, lift less weight)
π Practice steady breath throughout your exercise session and exhale when you exert effort
π Wear an external pelvic floor support garment or an internal pessary
π See a pelvic floor physio to pinpoint the cause of your issue
