Hello, I’m Mia.

My clients are mothers and people living in the female body. I welcome clients of all ages and from all walks of life.

I bring 20 years of experience in body work. This includes certification in pilates, training in mindfulness, a master’s degree in physiotherapy (McMaster 2009), an additional year of osteopathy courses, 14 speciality courses in pelvic health and perinatal care, and my Compassionate Inquiry training with Dr. Gabor Mate (MD). Other than being a pelvic physiotherapist in private practice, I am also a guest lecturer at McMaster University’s School of Rehabilitation Sciences and a clinician at the McMaster Michael G. DeGroote Pain clinic.

To give you the best support, I consider both the physical and emotional influences on your pelvic health and perinatal experience and this approach requires trust. For this reason, I’ve provided lots of details in the services, FAQ and blog sections of this website and in my training overview below, so that you know what to expect when working with me. Your comfort is my priority, and this depth of work brings great rewards.
